What type of QDROs do you draft?
We process all retirement plans, i.e., 401(k) plans, profit sharing plans, pension plans, and 403(b) plans, individual retirement plans, and supplemental plans.
What Plan Administrators are you familiar with?
Fidelity, QDRO Consultants, Empower Retirement, America’s 401(k), Vanguard, Aon Hewitt, Great Western, LACERA, Voya, OPM, Nationwide, and many more.
Are you bonded?
Yes! In addition, Q.L.S. is also a member of The California Association of Legal Document Assistants (CALDA)
What do you need from us?
All we need from your team is a completed Q.L.S. Engagement Letter and the client’s issued Divorce Decree, Property Settlement Agreement, or Final Judgment (in the case of QDRO’s) to get started! Our team will handle as much of the contact with Plan Administrators as possible.

How long does it take to draft a QDRO? What is the Approval process afterward?
Q.L.S will draft all QDRO’s within 14 days. A rush fee is applied to any order needed sooner. After drafting, Q.L.S. will submit the order for pre-approval whenever possible.* The pre-approval process can take up to 30 days. Nonetheless, after two weeks, Q.L.S. will follow up with Plan Administrator and update your office on the status of approval. If you have opted for filing, upon our receipt of a Certified Order from the court, we will submit the final certified order to the Plan Administrator for the distribution of assets. We will also forward copies to all necessary parties.

* Some Plan Administrators do not offer pre-approval for QDRO orders. In these cases, we submit the drafts for filing and certification and submit the final order directly to the plan.
